HBO’s making sure everyone knows about Boardwalk Empire far in advance of its fall premiere. They’ve got to be confident in what they’re seeing and hoping to score a big popular drama like The Sopranos again. What better way to approach that than with a show about the rise and corruption of Atlantic City during America’s Prohibition era courtesy of Sopranos writer Terence Winter and pilot director Martin Scorsese?
The show has a large and impressive cast featuring Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt, Kelly Macdonald, Michael Shannon, Michael Kenneth Williams, Stephen Graham, Aleksa Palladino, Paul Sparks, Paz de la Huerta, Dabney Coleman, Vincent Piazza, Anthony Laciura and Shea Whigham.
