William Gibson Completes Zero History; Sept. Release

Author William Gibson (credited coiner of the term “cyberspace” and author of the seminal cyberpunk novel Neuromancer) revealed via his Twitter account that he’s finished writing his latest novel Zero History, which takes place in the same contemporary universe as Pattern Recognition and Spook Country. The likes of Hubertus Bigend and his Blue Ant media company once again appear in some capacity, though it remains unclear who the protagonist/s are.

There’s still some editing to be done on the novel but it’s been given a street date of September 7th and Amazon already has it up for pre-order. Another detail Gibson revealed is that it’s unusually long for him at 641 pages. William Gibson’s my favorite author, with his insights into the modern media-rich world falling squarely into my interests. Really looking forward to sitting down with this one come September.
