With the release of this video, literally half of the tracks from Fever Ray’s debut have been given the video treatment, plus another for one of the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition. I’m beginning to wonder if the whole album won’t end up being done in the end, not that I’d complain. The latest video is for “Keep the Streets Empty for Me” and was directed by Jens Klevje and Fabian Svensson, while Japanese performance artist/architect Megumi Matsubara stars as the main character and Camilla Jernmark plays the homeless girl.
Fever Ray is the solo project of Karin Dreijer Andersson (The Knife) and for my money, the debut album is the best 2009 has yet delivered and it’s only $5 to download off Amazon right now. I can’t recommend it enough.
