Portishead’s Geoff Barrow tells the BBC that the band is back in the studio and working towards having an album ready for release by the end of 2010. That’d be an incredibly productive turnaround after the 11 year wait between their second and third albums. They’re also talking with record companies about their future since Portishead is currently unsigned and the trio has absolutely no desire to handle the business side themselves. Even if we end up having to wait until the end of 2011, new Portishead arriving in the relative future as fabulous news. I couldn’t possibly get enough songs from them.
