Here’s the new full trailer for The Book of Eli. The film follows Eli (Denzel Washington) as he crosses a post-apocalyptic America while protecting a book that could hold the secrets to saving mankind. Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis, Ray Stevenson, Michael Gambon, Jennifer Beals, Frances de la Tour and Tom Waits co-star. Albert and Allen Hughes (Menace II Society, Dead Presidents, From Hell) return to directing after a long break to tackle an original script written by Gary Whitta.
This looks pretty sweet right now, although I’ll be curious to see what the secrets are within the book. That could easily prove hokey. It’s nice to see Denzel Washington in something that actually looks good while also presenting at least a slightly different character than he’s been playing recently.
Warner Bros will release The Book of Eli on January 15th, 2010.
