Given the nature of Damages, with each season more or less revolving around a single lawsuit, the show brings in a series of new stars each year to surround Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan with. Campbell Scott (Roger Dodger, Six Degrees, Royal Pains) and Martin Short (Saturday Night Live, Mumford) are coming aboard as regulars while Lily Tomlin (The West Wing, I Heart Huckabees) and Keith Carradine (Deadwood, Dexter) have recurring guest roles. There are no details related to the nature of their characters. Ted Danson is also confirmed to be returning as Arthur Frobisher, although it’s not clear how much the character is involved in the season.
Production on the thirteen episode season begins this week. Expect it to begin airing on FX early next year (for reference, last season started in January).
