Here’s a full trailer for The Princess and the Frog, Disney’s much-anticipated return to traditional animation. Making it even better, the film is written and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who have The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin under their belts. It’s also the return to the Disney musical, although this time Randy Newman is behind that aspect. Voices are provided by Anika Noni Rose, Bruce Campos, Keith David, Oprah Winfrey, John Goodman, Terrence Howard, Jenifer Lewis, Jim Cummings and Jennifer Cody.
We’ll have to see if it can match some of those earlier classics, but at the very least the production is absolutely gorgeous.
The Princess and the Frog opens in Los Angeles and New York City on November 25th at The Walt Disney Studios and The Ziegfield Theater, respectively, before expanding nationwide on December 11th. I would also note that the limited engagements come packaged with “The Ultimate Disney Experience” which is a post-showing extravaganza of play areas, costumed characters, etc. for kids, and consequently costs a minimum of $30 per ticket.
