There’s another new trailer for Where the Wild Things Are up, with this one letting more of the wild things speak and detailing some of the things Max does with them. It continues to look absolutely magical. I really love that the wild things have real weight and presence. Spike Jonze seems to have done a wonderful job here.
The trailer is over at Yahoo. I recommend viewing one of the HD options, Yahoo’s basic video player is iffy.
Spike Jonze directs from a script co-written with Dave Eggers. Max Records stars as the child, Max, while Catherine Keener plays his mom, and Mark Ruffalo her boyfriend. James Gandolfini, Lauren Ambrose, Paul Dano, Catherine O’Hara, Forest Whitaker and Tom Noonan portray some of the wild things.
Where the Wild Things Are is being released by Warner Bros on October 16th.
