Several new photos from The Fantastic Mr. Fox were published in USA Today recently, showing off more of the characters and art design, along with some behind the scenes action. The stop-motion animated film is directed by Wes Anderson who wrote the script with Noah Baumbach. It is, of course, based on the classic Roald Dahl novel. The story follows a clever fox as he outsmarts the dimwitted farmers in order to get to their chickens. George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray,Wallace Wolodarsky, Adrien Brody, Brian Cox, Anjelica Huston, Owen Wilson, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe and Eric Chase Anderson lend their voices to the characters.

Fox Searchlight is releasing The Fantastic Mr. Fox on November 13th. I’m not sure I could be more excited. This is looking wildly fun, and the source material is *ahem* fantastic. You know it’s a good year when you get two big stop-motion animated films, the other being Coraline.

Is this the guy who killed my five beautyiful layers, and then went over to the chicken house and killed three more of my meat birds? I would like to have a personal discussion with him about manners.
