The first two images have appeared from Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox, the adaptation of the Roald Dahl novel. It’s primarily a stop-motion animated affair, although I recall hearing it utilized a few other techniques as well. The story follows a clever fox as he outsmarts the dimwitted farmers in order to get to their chickens. George Clooney, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray and Meryl Streep provide voices.
The style’s kinda weird, with the design and textures being strangely realistic. It’ll be interesting to see the characters in motion. Hopefully there’s a teaser or full trailer soon.
Fox Searchlight is releasing The Fantastic Mr. Fox on November 13th.
