If you didn’t hear, there’s a new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film in the works for 2011. Some new details emerged, including confirmation that the Foot Clan will have a role in the new story. A casting call on the 18th specifically mentions the street ninjas, so that might give an indication of what kind of villains the film might use. Ernie Reyes Jr. will be one of the judges.
The second bit is that the TMNT25 site seems to have temporarily leaked that John Fusco was hired for the film, at least that’s what FirstShowing saw. The small announcement within the site’s description of the Comic Con event is gone from what I can tell now. John Fusco’s written the likes of Young Guns, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Hidalgo and The Forbidden Kingdom. I honestly haven’t seen of the movies he’s scripted, so I can’t claim to have an opinion.
