On top of lead singer Jónsi Birgisson’s two side projects, Riceboy Sleeps and his acoustic album, Sigur Rós has announced via their site they’re “nearing completion” on their next full album. That’s after Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust was just released last year. The new album is said to be slower and more ambient compared to the last two full albums, while being melodic and less noisy and all around more “out there.” The album isn’t expected to hit until next year, but hopefully on the earlier side.
