Tartan Films went out of business last year. The remnants were bought by Palisades Media Group to become Palisades Tartan. Now Vivendi Entertainment is buying the home video, digital and mobile distribution rights for the Asia Extreme and International Art House lines. That includes great films as Oldboy (and a few of Park Chan-wook’s other films) and Red Road. Even though the Tartan releases are still in print, it’s nice to know someone’s going to be keeping the films in circulation in the future.
