These trailers for the DC Comics direct-to-video animated films are coming earlier and earlier. Even though the next one, Green Lantern: First Flight, is still two months out, a trailer’s appeared for Superman: Batman: Public Enemies.
At this point in the universe, Lex Luthor is president of the United States and names Superman and Batman enemies of the state when a kryptonite asteroid is found to be heading towards Earth. Bounties are placed on their heads leading supervillains and heroes to try and claim the money, while Superman and Batman must also contend with the asteroid and Luthor’s mysterious plan.
At last update, after the release of this one there were two Batman solo adventures planned. I’d expect to here more about DC’s animated plans around the release of Green Lantern: First Flight or San Diego Comic Con.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is scheduled for DVD and Blu-ray release during the fall.
