The trailer for Woody Allen’s next, Whatever Works, is now up at Apple. Larry David takes on Woody Allen’s traditional role as a cynical man encountering romantic antics from all angles after meeting a young southern girl (Evan Rachel Wood). Ed Begley Jr., Patricia Clarkson, Conleth Hill and Michael McKean also star. This film also marks Allen’s return New York City after heading to Europe for inspiration with Match Point, Scoop, Cassandra’s Dream and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Due to Larry David’s presence, it’s kind of hard not to watch the trailer and just imagine Curb Your Enthusiasm somehow moved to NYC, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
