Hollywood Reporter reveals that Disney/Pixar is set to open a small branch in Vancouver to handle short form projects involving Pixar’s library of characters. The studio will house 75-100 employees who will work on projects geared towards theme parks, DVDs, television and theatrical use. So if a new Toy Story ride needed video work, it might be done here. New feature films and (ugh) stereoscopic work will continue as always at Pixar’s Emeryville home, which is also getting a large expansion at the same time.
