Warner Bros has pushed their Green Lantern film from a December 17th, 2010 release back to June 17th, 2011. I’ll hazard a guess and say that a summer release is more appropriate for this superhero film. Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) is still set to direct and the word was shooting would begin this fall, but that was before the delay was made public. Maybe that’s just a strategic manuever or maybe the production won’t be ready to move forward in time. There are rumors swirling that Bradley Cooper is in serious contention for the role of Hal Jordan, but I wouldn’t put into any casting news unless it’s official.
