Dave Matthews Band - Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King
Dave Matthews Band has revealed the details of their seventh studio album and first since 2005, Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King. The album serves as a tribute to the late LeRoi Moore, their saxophonist and fellow founding member, who died last year of complications from an ATV accident. GrooGrux King was apparently the band’s nickname for Moore.
Anyway, the new album is due on June 2nd featuring album art drawn by Dave Matthews himself. The first single, “Funny the Way It Is,” is available for free download. I have to say, I quite like it. They’re back to a quicker paced and more fun feel. I wasn’t very thrilled with Stand Up but based on the single I’m really looking forward to this as a return to form.
