A trailer for Moon has popped up over at IGN. Sam Rockwell stars as an astronaut at a mining installation on the moon nearing the end of his tour when an accident occurs and someone appears who looks a lot like him. Kevin Spacey voices a robot that assists operations. Duncan Jones directed the film which debuted at Sundance. To top it off, it features a new Cint Mansell score, who you may know as the man behind the scores of Darren Aronofsky’s films.
Sony Pictures Classics will release the film theatrically on June 12th.
I’ll be there. I’m a sucker for anything resembling serious intelligent science fiction, and this sure seems to fit the bill. The word out of Sundance was fairly positive so here’s hoping I’m not disappointed.
