Venture Bros season four news

The Venture Bros.

The Venture Bros.

The third season of The Venture Bros. hits DVD and Blu-ray in a couple days, and AWM interviewed Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer about that season and retrieved a few tidbits about the future. Don’t click over to the interview if you’ve yet to see the third season. Spoilers abound.

The fourth season is due to debut in November. It will be split into two halves which might sound awful but it also comes with three additional episodes being added to the season. So we’ll get an eight episode run and then a second eight episodes with a six month break inbetween. That’s not a bad compromise to give the creative team a little breathing room since Publick and Hammer are always late with scripts and they’re now producing a fully HD show while not making viewers wait for 12+ months for new episodes. The hope is for the second half to appear in the summer of 2010.

They also reveal that Patton Oswalt, Seth Green, John Hodgman and Kevin Conroy will be providing voices for one-off characters while veterans Brendon Small and H. Jon Benjamin will be returning.

The duo does discuss some of the bigger plot decisions made in the third season that had fans buzzing, so if you have want some insight into that, go read the full interview.
