Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder comes out next week and while that’s the last of the ordered movies, it might not be the last of Futurama. It seems Billy West (Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg, etc) was at the Florida Anime Supercon and mentioned that given good sales of the DVD movies, Fox is now considering bringing the show back for a sixth season (the fifth consists of the chopped up films). Of course, as with the last revival the form any new Futurama ends up taking may change as that went from potentially being new stand alone episodes to a series of movies. The good news is that Fox is thinking about more of the series at all. Personally, I like the movies just fine, but I think the material works better as short, zany episodes rather than longer plots, but I’ll take what I can get.
