Warner Bros. has posted a new restricted trailer for the year’s second movie about a mall cop, Observe and Report. Jody Hill (The Foot Fist Way) directs Seth Rogen as a mall cop desperate for a chance at a real police academy when he’s given a chance to prove himself by catching a flasher. Unlike Paul Blart: Mall Cop, this one’s got a hard R rating.
Of course, to see the trailer you have to verify your age which might prove difficult for some people. Take it from me, my current address, which I’ve had for nearly three years wasn’t accepted. I almost gave up there, but then I looked up my previous address and tried that one. Nope, no good. Well shit, now I’m both frustrated and curious so I go yet another address back and finally the system registers me. Have I said recently that I hate the MPAA? No? Well then, I do hate the MPAA.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by the trailer. It’s rather funny and looks like it might explore some darkness in amusing ways. Anna Faris, Ray Liotta and Michael Pena co-star. Observe and Report is due out on April 10th.
